NMC’s Food For Thought Program was a huge success!

A huge thank you goes out to the many NMC students who conducted a series of food drives for the Northwest Food Coalition.  Step Up Northern Michigan was one of ten local food pantries to share in the fruits of their labors.

Our Plante Moran Cares Team members also joined in and helped with the unloading of the trailer as well as loading the awaiting pantry vehicles. We are exited to share that for the first time ever the shelves at the Traverse City High School are full as we head into the holiday season!  Happy Thanksgiving to all!

First Exploring Saturday at NMC

The first Exploring Saturday was held at NMC’s  Areo Park Campus on Saturday, November 5th from noon–4:00 p.m.  Over a dozen middle school aged students enjoyed learning about electricity in a hands -on fashion.  Students constructed their own circuit board and magnetic LED lights.  There will be seven more of these STEM opportunities for local students in our area.  See https://www.scoutingevent.com/272-NMCClub.  Here are some photos from the event:

Tailgate for a Cause

We just had our Tailgate with them for the UofM/MSU game on Friday, October 28th, 2016.  It was amazing how generous and how excited the team was to help our organization.   Plante Moran Cares Program donated over $1,000.00 to be utilized for much needed back to school supplies for the students and staff at Traverse City High School. Plante Moran’s continued financial support funds additional pantry items that are needed on an emergency basis.
