ON-GOING PROJECTS

Traverse City (Alternative) High School

  • Keep the food pantry stocked with food and supplies for the kids
  • Work/Warm clothes for the neediest of kids
  • Partnering with Goodwill Food Rescue and the Northwest Food Coalition
  • Stocking a “School Store” for any student in need
  • Holiday Store: Santa’s Workshop: Annual store for students to shop for new items for themselves and their families for the holiday season, at no cost to them

Compass Learning Center

  • Services 200 Online HS students
  • Stock Basic Needs Pantry: hygiene, food, clothing

Traverse City Central High School

  • Keep the food pantry stocked with food and supplies for the kids
  • Providing Weekend food kits for 15 students/families
  • Stocking basic need pantry, ex.: hygiene items and basic lifestyle items

Traverse City West High School

  • Weekly stocking and support of food and clothing pantry
  • Stocking basic need pantry, ex.: hygiene items and basic lifestyle items

Blair Elementary School

  • Creating and providing weekly food boxes for 20 families
  • Weekly stocking of in-classroom snack time foods, called Community Snack
  • Purchased a refrigerator /freezer for easier weekly food box distribution to families

Traverse Heights Elementary School

  • Providing snacks for the entire K-5 student population during community snack time
  • Purchased washer & dryer for school use
